Moura Information Centre and Museum

Visit the Information Centre at 33 Gillespie Street.

This Centre incorporates a Branch office of Banana Shire Council, internet access, a Centrelink Access Bar and the Home of History of Moura with the museum.

Explore the specially themed rooms of the museum including a large photographic display reflecting the industries of the area, including coal mining, cotton, cattle, diary and grain growing, from the early days of Moura's settlement.

See the display celebrating the life of the School of Arts, the heart of the town's social hub, which includes memorabilia from the many community groups that have used the space over the years.

On special display is a collection of Japanese fans, gifts of appreciation from the Japanese Mitsui Mining Company, with which the town has formed a close relationship through industry ties.
